Our community hospital is facing unprecedented challenges, leading to substantial financial losses that cannot be sustained. Our hospital, emergency room and all of the services it provides are in jeopardy of closing.

Sutter Health and Eden Medical Center are working to keep San Leandro Hospital open as an acute care hospital if certain financial targets are met by December, 2008. But it takes our entire community to work together to keep this outstanding hospital open and providing quality care.

  • Ask your doctor to send you to San Leandro Hospital for admission, any outpatient procedure such as a x-ray, outpatient surgery, laboratory tests, etc.
  • Choose a physician from your health insurance policy that has privileges at San Leandro Hospital.
  • Choose a health insurance policy that has a contract with San Leandro Hospital.
  • Tell your friends and neighbors to do the same.
